The trees have already been shared with all the primary schools and Care homes in the Big Local Gateshead area and we have lots more to give away to residents too! Here’s a list of the trees available:

Large plot/garden - English Oak Common Alder Beech (common/green), Silver Birch, and Hornbeam

Small plot/garden - Mountain Ash/Rowan, Bird Cherry, Hazel, Common Crab Apple, and Grey Willow

Wildlife & shrubs - Blackthorn, Hawthorn, Common Dogwood, Goat Willow, and Dog Rose

If you would like more information about the tree species you can refer to this information sheet. Each tree comes with a bamboo cane and tree guard to get you all set up!

Once you have selected your tree(s), complete the form below so I can prepare your tree(s) for collection. You can collect in person at Big Local Gateshead ‘Pop up shop’ at The Big local bungalow, on Friday’s between 2 and 4pm. If it is really difficult for you to get out and there is no one else who could collect on your behalf, please complete the section of the form ‘for delivery’ and we will try our best to arrange delivery.
