Our gardening community is really growing!
I’ve been busy these last couple of weeks, working at the allotment and delivering vegetable growing kits out to families in the area. We are getting some lovely feedback on the kits and many people are sharing their growing experiences on our Facebook group ‘BLG Growing Together’.

Volunteering at the allotment - Register you interest!
We have been exploring safe ways in which more people could get involved at the allotment over the coming months.
As a starting point, if you live in the Big Local Gateshead area and would like the opportunity to volunteer, once a week, at the allotment, please complete the expression of interest form below. Priority will be given to people:
Living in the immediate Big Local Gateshead area
With none or very little growing space at home
Who’s physical or mental wellbeing would be improved by the opportunity
We can offer a 1 meter by 1 meter plot for you and your family to grow your own vegetables and the use of any tools you need. We will also provide you will a great book to give you step by step instructions on how to grow lots of produce in a small area. You will also have a wonderful outdoor space to spend some time in with your family regularly.
In return, we would need help with general weeding and watering at the allotment. Fill in the form below and register your interest now!
